Hosting, maintenance and SSL are included in the subscription. The minimum term is 6 months, and annual billing gets you 15% off.
What a proper hotel website includes (and what it doesn't)
Every package should include as standard:
- Mobile-first design: 70%+ of visitors arrive on a phone.
- Multi-language: at least EN + GR. For luxury, add FR + DE.
- Booking engine integration: Hotelogix, Sabee, Cloudbeds, Mews.
- Schema markup for SEO (Hotel, LocalBusiness, FAQPage).
- SSL + regular backups.
- Page speed < 2s on mobile.
What's usually NOT included (watch these hidden costs):
- Professional photography: €500–€1,500 separately.
- Copy in English/other languages: if you don't supply it, add €300–€600 for copywriting.
- Booking engine subscription: Sabee/Cloudbeds itself has its own cost, ~€80–€200/month depending on rooms.
- Domain: ~€10–20/year (.gr or .com).
Why the "€99 packages" are traps
When you see "complete hotel website €99", one of these 3 things is usually going on:
- A Wix/Squarespace template that 50 other hotels in Mykonos also have. You don't stand out, you can't customise, and it won't hold up next to a Cycladic real-estate brand.
- A site with no booking engine: the visitor taps "Book Now" and lands on an email form. They end up on Booking.com because there they book in 30 seconds.
- Cheap shared hosting that goes down 5–10 times a year. Every bit of downtime in peak season = lost bookings.

How to evaluate an offer
When you receive a quote, ask these 7 questions:
- Is it a custom design or a template?
- Which booking engine do you integrate, and what does it cost separately?
- Where and how is it hosted? (e.g. shared hosting with Plesk, a Hetzner VPS, AWS — not a vague "somewhere in the cloud")
- How long for price/season changes after handover?
- Is the page speed score above 85 on mobile (PageSpeed Insights)?
- Will I be able to update copy/photos myself without a developer?
- What happens if I stop the subscription? Do I keep the files and the domain?
When custom development is worth it (Foundation: €2,500 + €320/month)
